PUMP REPAIRS

Liquid ring vacuum pumps predominantly operate in environments where the vacuum pump is used in a process involving evaporation or dewatering. These applications subject the vacuum pumps to erosion damage due to "carry over" of solids into the vacuum pump, coupled with corrosion due to chemicals and/or contamination in the process.

A corrosion/erosion cycle often occurs whereby the metal in the vacuum pump is "softened" by corrosion, allowing the metal to be readily "eroded" by carry over of solids through the vacuum pump.

By utilising the Belzona Ceramic Metals system, the corrosion problem can be totally eliminated. In addition, the Belzona coatings are very resistant to erosion.

The system effectively breaks down the corrosion/erosion cycle resulting in repaired vacuum pumps providing a service life far in excess of an unprotected unit.
